We've been renting with Collins for about 6 years and they're usually great. However, this time around, they didn't do so well. We rented Coastal View (they had just sold it to another realtor) and when we got to the house, there was no Internet! We went the entire week without a connection, even though we called like THREE TIMES. When the person finally came he wasn't even with the right company. Also, some people came up to replace the glass on one of the dinner tables upstairs. We were not notified of this. The other 7 times we've rented with them the houses were fantastic.
Our family had a fantastic stay at St. George Island through the helpful and friendly staff at Collins Realty. We were able to stay on the East end in the Clipper Bay Community at Seas the Moment which had access to both the bay and the beach which made everyone happy. The community also has a very nice, clean community pool. We had several children and felt safe to let them ride their bikes in the gated community. My only suggestion would be to be clear on the best way to access the beach from the Clipper Bay community because other property owners on the beach side have clearly posted signs not to walk through their property but it was very difficult to determine property lines. Thankfully we had a friendly property owner that was able to assist us in finding the best access to the beach.
ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RENT OFF OF THIS PLACE. WE MADE RESERVATION ONE WEEK WITH A $3,500 DOWN PAYMENT. ....WE HAD TO CANCEL THEY WILL NOT GIVE US OUR MONEY BACK THE GIRL WAS SO NASTY. WE CANCEL LESS THAN A WEEK..THE BAD THING IS OUR VACATION IS 2 YEARS AWAY. OF COURSE WE DID BUY INSURANCE THEY WONT GIVE OUR MONEY BACK NEVER TOLD US THIS WHEN WE BOOKED IT.......WE HAVE BEEN TO THIS ISLAND FOR YEARS OUR HOME WAS DIRTY I DROPPED A PEANUT ON THE FLOOR ON THE WAY OUT MY FIRST YEAR 6 YEARS LATER IN A PIECE OF HEAVEN WAS STILL ON THE FLOOR HOUSE IS DIRTY AND NEEDED PAINTED POOL WAS DIRTY WON'T BE STAYING THERE AT ALL. SO WE ALL WANTED A NEW PLACE SO WE DID. NOW WE ARE UNABLE TO GO.....NOT A GREAT WAY TO OPERATE ....DO NOT RENT WITH THESE PEOPLE
Good service. Maintenance is prompt. Prices fair. Pet policy excellent.
